Biobank
A biobank is a collection of biological samples preserved for scientific research purposes (biomarker research, development of diagnostic tools, drug action studies).
OCRvet has a biobank of biological samples, mainly from dogs and cats, available for in-vitro studies to complement in-vivo studies as part of translational research.

Since 2011, the OCRvet laboratory has been collecting canine and feline tissue samples for the creation of a Biobank dedicated to cancer research.
OCRvet manages collections of biological samples (reception, preparation, storage, and distribution), ensuring a quality assurance and traceability process. These high-quality bioresources are intended for scientific and biotechnological research and are stored in compliance with current legislation and ethical rules.
This approach has made it possible to launch several research programmes and clinical studies in collaboration with the academic world (ONCOLille) or the pharmaceutical industry with therapeutic targets for human or veterinary use.
